وقتی کوتاهش می‌کنی:

می‌خواهی فقط یک عبارت داشته باشی.

پس این غلط می‌شود:

was tired, I slept ❌

چرا غلط است؟

چون was باید فاعل داشته باشد.

was تنها نمی‌تواند بیاید.

پس چه کار می‌کنیم؟

فعل را از حالت صرف‌شده درمی‌آوریم و می‌بریم به شکل -ing

پس:

و اگر منفی باشد:

• I was not familiar

→ not being familiar
